Reverse Manicures

Hello!!! Today I decided to do a tutorial again. Reverse manicures are pretty cool, and I've wanted to try them for a while now. Reverse manicures are basically a French tip near your cuticle instead the tip of your finger, hence the name.
You will need:

  • A creamy base coat
  • Base color (used for the moon)
  • Paper reinforcements
  • Main color
  • Tweezers
  • Top coat
Step 1: Base Coat and Base Color
Apply the base coat
Once base coat dries, apply base color
Be very precise around the cuticles; the top can be a little sloppy

Step 2: Getting the Moon Shape
Cut paper reinforcements in half, one half for each nail
On each nail gently apply half of a reinforcement to very dry nails
Apply slight pressure to reinforcement
Paint main color over nail and around reinforcement
Peel off reinforcement with tweezers

Step 3: Top Coat
When nails are completely dry (make sure they are!!!) apply top coat
Apply it gently so you can avoid the colors bleeding into each other

Base Color: Wednesday by Zoya
Main Color: Sweet by Zoya
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails
