Flower Manicure Using Real Flowers

Today's post will be about how to have a manicure with real flowers on it. Yes, real flowers. It's a long process, but once it's finished it looks awesome and it's a lot easier than drawing a flower on yourself.
You will need:
  • a base coat
  • your favorite shade of nail polish
  • a bunch of small flowers (small enough to fit on your nails)
  • a heavy book or two
  • paper towels
  • a top coat
Step 1: Drying the Flowers
Gather all the flowers and remove any stems or leaves attached to them
Place them on a paper towel face up
Cover them with another paper towel
Take the books and stack them on top of the flowers
Leave them like this for 1-2 days, the flowers should be crispy-feeling

Step 2: Paint Your Nails
Apply a base coat
Paint two coats of any nail polish on your nails
Wait until they are fully dry to complete the next step

Step 3: Attaching the Flowers
Once nails are fully dry, get out the flowers and put them on a table
Choose which flowers you will use for each nail and put them into piles
Carefully spread a bit of top coat to the spot you want the flower to be
Make the top coat about the size of the flower
Gently stick the flower to your nail, applying pressure all over
Do this with all of your nails

So enjoy!

4th of July Nails

Hi everybody! Okay, so I haven't posted in a while, so I decided to show you my 4th of July nails. I've been meaning to post these for a while now, but I haven't gotten around to it until now. They took forever to plan out, but the actual painting only took about a half hour. Here are some pictures:

Above are some shots of my fingernails. I used a toothpick for the dots and a nail art pen for the stripes. When you put them next to each other they look like a flag!

And here are my toes! I again used a toothpick for the dots, but just a regular bottle of red polish for the stripes.
So, what do you think?
