Current Nail Trends for Spring

Hi everyone! Today I decided to do a post on all the nail trends this spring! Everybody has been doing all of their fingers a plain color, except for their ring finger and sometimes their pointer finger as well. On these fingers people have been adding a sparkly top coat or an intricate design. I don't know how it started, but it's really catching on! Another big trend that's fairly new is making nails gradient. For example, putting a deep red on your thumb and gradually making the colors lighter on each nail until the pinky is a pale pink! This one isn't as big as the ring finger thing, but I think it'll catch on! Some colors trending are pastels and more neutral colors like pale pinks and browns. Matte nails are also very popular this spring, so the Essie matte top coat I talked about earlier works really well. Flowery and girly designs are very popular, along with color-over-color designs. These are just a few of the many spring 2012 nail trends, so try them out!

Konad Stampers: THE BEST THINGS ON EARTH

I bought this little kit online a few years ago that changed my nails forever: the Konad nail stampers!!! You buy plates, a stamper and a scraper and you're supposed to buy their specialty nail polish but any kind will do. You put nail polish over any design and scrape the excess polish off the plate. Then, you take the sponge-like stamper and squish it on the design. The design is transferred onto the stamper, which you plant on your nail. Voila! Your nail has a professional-looking design on it without the salon price! The only problem with this system is that you can't put topcoat over the designs because it will smear and mess up the look.
